Under the auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public ,Government Communication Department organized  in coordination with the Department of Roads the Strategic Partners Forum  2012, Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Al Bustan  Rotana Hotel in Dubai in the presence of Dr. Abdullah Belhaif  Al Naimi, Agents, Assistants ,Directors of departments and regions ,Deputy heads of departments , heads of initiatives from the Ministry at the presence of His Excellency Mr. Sami Gargash, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing, and some functionaries of municipalities ,local departments of Works ,Planning and Survey and the Federal Ministries.

Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works reviewed that” the initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE adopted at the end of last week building 800 residential villas of citizens in the form of compounds added to the projects that have been adopted by Public Works “.

Dr. Abdullah Al Nuaimi Belhaif Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works explained during the Forum that “the Ministry will start to work in the construction of these villas and residential complexes this year in a number of Emirates”.

During the Forum this year which was under the title  of community cohesion MOPW reviewed the mechanism of the Ministry's strategic plan  for the years 2012-2013 and ideas proposed by the partners of the Ministry to plan and develop work in the projects and services.

Dr. Abdullah Belief Al-Naimi said” the Ministry of Public Works, under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan harness all the possibilities of physical and moral integrity in order to provide quality services and achieve sustainable development in order to provide better life to the people of the UAE and residents on the land of the state adding that the ministry is seeking through its strategy to contribute the regulation of the housing of citizens in various regions of the state honor by the Head of State to develop the infrastructure.”

As the film on the achievements of the ministry , Fatima Al Dhafri , Director of Strategic Planning on behalf of the Strategic Plan Dep. of the Ministry  reviewed the years 2012-2013 indicated that the strategic plan includes 6 goals of the strategy, the President is the first goal of the implementation of the master plan for the infrastructure, in accordance with international standards and to ensure community cohesion and the preservation of architectural heritage and the local budgets allocated within the approved schedules.”

She also said that “the Ministry is working to achieve community cohesion through the development of the Federal Road network in order to achieve connectivity between all parts of the country, and the establishment and maintenance of dams in order to conserve resources, as well as the development of city centers, and update the Master Plan”. She added that” the second objective is based on the preparation of operational plans, charts, design of construction projects, and manage contracts efficiently and effectively, and to achieve the aspirations of those beneficiaries, through the implementation of health facilities and the development of educational facilities friendly to the environment according to best international standards, as well as the development of security installations, buildings integrated.”

 She assured that” the Ministry is seeking through its third strategic to implement projects, facilities and Federal Buildings, infrastructure and dams with distinction and the budgets allocated among the programs of time, so as to increase the proportion of program delivery of projects according to agreed priorities, and the Master Plan of the Ministry on 90%, during the year 2013.”

She also pointed out that” the strategic objective of the fourth is linked to the maintenance and upgrading of infrastructure projects of the Federal efficiently high financial, to access by the obligation in preventive maintenance programs 95% during the year 2013, the Ministry aims through it to periodic maintenance of the facilities and federal dams and raise their efficiency within the operational plans adopted, and preventive maintenance and sustainable development of facilities and roads to maintain efficiency, while the fifth objective is to contribute to the regulation of the housing citizens of the State, and drew the ministry earlier in that it seeks through its work that the rate of satisfaction of citizens for the National Strategic Plan for Housing 70% last year, while seeking in which up to that percentage to 80% during the year 2013.”
